Felicity Kostakis’ Soulful Seascapes, by SB Long Interiors

We’re mesmerized by the allure of Felicity Kostakis’ soulful seascapes, which add a feeling of serenity to any space they adorn. Especially fabulous for homeowners who love the water, her paintings draw inspiration from a lifetime of sailing and coastal living around the world.

At times her oil paintings reflect an impressionist style, especially seen in her sailing works, which expertly convey a sense of movement and direction.

Although Kostakis is from Australia, she is now based in Greenwich, CT near S. B. Long and is very involved in the local art community. She also specializes in custom work, and clients often seek out her talent to create stunning portraits of their boats or waterfront homes. We recently asked Kostakis what she loves most about collaborating with clients, to which she replied:

“I love nothing more than to create the perfect painting for a client… something that they will love now and in the future and enjoy every time they walk by it. I work with the client to achieve the right color palette and complement the client’s interiors to realize a custom one-of-a-kind piece of artwork.”

This Kostakis work, “Indulgence,” was a commission for partners who enjoyed more than a decade of sailing their beautiful boat.

“Low Tide at Sunset” is another of her paintings that caught our eyes.
